Back Care Awareness Week

Lower Back Pain - Back Care Awareness WeekBack Care Awareness Week 2010 will be taking place between 11th and 15th October. The annual event promotes the awareness of back pain, particularly prevention and back pain treatment.

Back Care Awareness Week focuses on different themes each year. 2010’s theme is: Beyond the Box – Home, work and play. The aim of this year’s event is to highlight the importance of preventing back problems and emphasise some of the dangers that can lead to back pain and spinal problems.

Every day we put our backs through movements and lifts without thinking about the pressures we put on our backs that can lead to injuries.

Lower back pain is very common, affecting around 8 in 10 people in the UK at some point in their lives, according to BUPA. Poor posture and sitting in inappropriate positions for long periods of time are contributing factors. It costs UK businesses over £5billion each year and 50 million days of absence, making it the second largest cause of absence from work in the UK.

Dynaspine uses unique technology to provide a back support and encourages movement, which is essential! Its flexible plates conform to the contours of the spine whilst in the seated position. The ergonomic design reduces the pressure on the spinal joints and discs, decreases muscles fatigue which in turn reduces back pain.

Both the Dynaspine Back Support and Dynaspine Chairs have helped thousands of back pain sufferers throughout the world. You may have seen the Dynaspine Back Support in the press. It’s been featured in the Daily Mail, BBC.co.uk, Chat Magazine, Woman’s Weekly, Woman and Home, FamilyRapp.co.uk, ErgoJournal.co.uk, numerous regional newspapers throughout the UK and many many more!
